Candlemass, formed by bassist and songwriter Leif Edling in Stockholm, Sweden in 1984, is well known for its influential
Epic Doom Metal sound, which itself evolved out of the masterful Black Sabbath. The band is particularly well known for
their two genre-defining & unrivalled masterpieces of the genre; namely Epicus Doomicus Metallicus from 1986 and
Nightfall from 1987.
This special 7" of 'Dark are the Veils of Death' contains two rare and previously unreleased tracks from a 1987
rehearsal, unearthed and presented on limited 7" vinyl, marking 30 years of Peaceville and Candlemass' iconic
Nightfall album.
