It’s psychological torment and can lead to utter madness and the total loss of one’s sanity. That’s what France’s ATARAXIE, one of Europe’s leaders of the Doom / Death movement, is all about.
At times finding piece and relief in grace, sometimes falling into a black hole of hate, and wrath, that’s how madness is and that’s what ATARAXIE is all about: the perfect and most efficient mix of the Funeral Doom desperation, the Suicidal Black / Dark Metal depression and the Old-School Death Metal raging fury, all of this with hits of swamping Sludge of the darkest kind. Released on vinyl for the first time ever through XENOKORP’s Kvlt Series, the album’s been specifically remastered for the dark matter and comes as a 300 hand-numbered copies limited edition first print as a double monolith of darkness in the form of a double gatefold LP with reverse board print, black inner sleeves and the gatefold’s insides flooded in black.
