CARCASS - Swansong (Vinyl) (LP)

Formed in the late 80's, Carcass featured ex-Napalm Death guitarist Bill Steer and ex-Electro Hippies vocalist Jeff Walker, The band became famous as a "gore" band - using extreme images on album sleeve and in lyrics, often with a medical dictionary providing inspiration, before later successfully moving towards melodic death metal, particularly on 'Swansong'.


Quite literally, 'Swansong' was to be their last release before disbanding.


Having split after the release of this final album, Jeff Walker continued with Blackstar and Brujeria, Bill Steer formed Firebird, and Mike Amott found success with Spiritual Beggars and Arch Enemy.


Carcass only recently reformed and made a comeback with the new album 'Surgical Steel'.
