Having evolved from the harrowing doom of their first LP through to the groovier sound displayed on albums like The Ethereal Mirror, Cathedral's fifth album finds them leaping headfirst into the world of stoner rock, leaving behind much of their former gloom in favor of a psychedelic, 70s hard rock indebted sound. Combined with their trademark heaviness, it makes for a seriously hypnotic listen.
