Heaven & Hell's journey began serendipitously in 2006, when the quartet were asked to record a few new songs for The Dio Years, a collection spotlighting the Mob Rules lineup of Black Sabbath - Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice, The impromptu get-together quickly proved the creative spark was still burning 14 years after the band's last album and Heaven And Hell was (re)born, After touring in Australia in August 2007, to the delight of metal fans the land over, the band released a CD/DVD Live from Radio City Music Hall, establishing a sales base for the legends in Australia, With demand still in full swing and the creative fire burning a blaze, the band created The Devil You Know, their aptly titled debut studio album.
